These are the stories of four women with LatinX roots and their different journeys. Their true stories, secrets, and struggles are single and unique. Each must surface from her role as a daughter and from a life clouded by challenges.
Why I care: because writing about your life changes it.
This is my post-retirement work. With the encouragement of Bloomingdale Writers Connection (BWC) in Valrico, Florida, I connected with Life Story Writing, became a certified autobiography instructor and teach Life Story Writing both face-to-face and on-line. I am passionate about helping other writers integrate their past and present selves, define their own narrative, and learn who they are in the process.
Recent Publications and Awards:

I have consulted for organizations such as USAID, NOCTI, and various colleges on community-based planning, learning strategies for all ages, and workforce development.
After 35 years of working in community colleges, I have come to believe that the best work I do is teaching others how to write and learn while self-authoring their own lives.
“Autumn poses the question we all have to live with: how to hold on to the things we love even though we know that we, and they, are dying. How to see the world as it is, yet find light within the truth.” -Autumn Light, Memoir, Pico Iyer
